Azalea exbury 'Golden Lights' is commonly referred to as Golden Lights Azalea or Golden Lights Rhododendron. It belongs to the Northern Lights Hybrid Series from the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. It is an exceptionally hardy deciduous variety featuring fragrant, single golden-yellow flowers that appear in late spring that attracts birds, butterflies, hummingbirds and other beneficial pollinators. It has a small mounding habit with bright green leaves.
Golden Lights Azalea thrives in full to partial sun in rich, humusy, acidic, evenly moist, well-drained soils. Full morning sun is beneficial for azaleas. It is ideal for shrub borders, flowering hedge and foundation plantings.
