It is noteworthy for its unusual whipcord-like green foliage which rises up and then droops from its branches much like a fountain. It maintains its green color through summer and later turns bronze in winter.
Whipcord Western Red Cedar thrives in full to partial sun in rich, fertile, well-drained soils.
