This slow growing, deciduous, narrow, columnar, ornamental tree features dense, deep purple, crinkled foliage all season long with outstanding bronze color in autumn. Its smooth silvery bark is very showy and adds winter interest.
Red Obelisk Beech is low maintenance and easy to grow. It thrives in full sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It will not tolerate standing water. It will tolerant urban pollution and can thrive in city environments.
