COMPACT KOREANSPICE VIBURNUM
Viburnum carlesii 'Compactum' is commonly referred to as Compact Viburnum, Arrowwood Compactum or Koreanspice Viburnum. It is a very compact, deciduous flowering shrub that is prized for its petite size and beauty. It grows only 3-4 feet tall and wide and features pretty pink flower buds that open to delightfully fragrant white blooms arranged in snowball-like clusters in late spring. Flowers are followed by clusters of bright red berries that mature to black. Dark green leaves turn dark red in fall.
Compact Koreanspice Viburnum thrives in full sun to partial shade in rich, fertile, slightly acidic, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is ideal in shrub borders, foundation plantings, and any high traffic spot so others can enjoy its heavenly fragrance and beauty.
