THUJA PLI GREEN GIANT
Grower Notes:

Thuja plicata x standishii 'Green Giant' is commonly referred to as Green Giant Arborvitae. It is a hybrid cross between the western red cedar and the Japanese Arborvitae. It is a vigorous, fast growing, low-branching, columnar arborvitae with sprays of deep green, scale-like needles with great color retention through the winter. It has a broadly pyramidal habit that can grow up to 5 feet per year. It is known to make a hardier substitute for Leyland cypress (Cupressus x leylandii).

Green Giant Arborvitae is deer resistant and quite adaptable to different soil types. It thrives in full sun in rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils. Protection from drying winds is beneficial. This majestic evergreen requires little to no pruning and makes an idea specimen plant or a natural screen/barrier for privacy.
