Taxus baccata 'Fastigiata' is commonly referred to as Irish Yew. This popular conifer has a dense, upright, columnar habit when young, becoming more broadly conical as it ages. Stiffly erect branches boast long, radially arranged, dark green needles. It is a moderate grower, reaching 10 feet tall and 5-6 feet wide at maturity.

Irish Yew thrives in partial sun in acidic, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It can be drought tolerant once established.
