The Scarlet Curls Willow is a hybrid between Salix matsudana x Salix alba 'Scarlet Curls'. It is a small, fast-growing, oval-shaped tree with interesting, twisted golden brown branches and twisted scarlet red stems that spiral upwards. The red color becomes more intense after the first frost. Summer foliage also appears twisted. Its unique, gnarly habit adds significant winter interest.
The Scarlet Curls Willow enjoys full sun and rich, moist, soggy soils.
