UPRIGHT ENGLISH OAK
Quercus robur f. fastigiata is commonly referred to as Fastigiate English Oak or Upright English Oak. It is a deciduous, upright, columnar tree with narrow, upright branches as a young tree, maturing to a broader pyramidal form as it grows. Dark green leaves hold their color throughout the growing season and turn brown in fall.
Upright English Oak thrives in full sun in fertile, acidic or slightly alkaline, evenly moist, well-drained soil. It is ideal as a hedge or specimen planting.
