PICEA GLAUCA BIG BERTA
Grower Notes:

Picea glauca 'Big Berta' is commonly referred to as Big Berta White Spruce. This Iseli Introduction is a hybrid of Picea glauca 'North Star' and Picea pungens 'Montgomery'. This hardy, coniferous evergreen is noteworthy for having the same 'Conica' type juvenile foliage, however, the needles are much longer and more open with a faster growth rate. It can grow 6-10 inches per year with a mature height of approximately 12 feet and a 6 foot spread.

Big Berta White Spruce thrives in full sun in slightly acidic, evenly moist, well-drained soils.
