Picea bicolor 'Howell's Dwarf Tigertail' is commonly known as the Howell's Dwarf Tigertail Spruce. It is a spreading, flat-topped, multi-stemmed shrub when young, eventually developing into a pyramidal specimen tree. It features green needles with silver blue undersides and incredibly attractive violet purple cones.

The Howell's Dwarf Tigertail enjoys full sun in evenly moist, well-drained soils. It does not tolerate standing water.
