Such a striking plant! This improved Ninebark has the compact branching of P. 'Nana' and the wine-red foliage of P. 'Diabolo'. It has a graceful, arching habit with vibrant dark purple foliage, making it very appealing in the landscape. Pinkish white, button-like flowers appear in mid-summer. Ninebark is named for its exfoliating bark on mature branches which peels away revealing reddish brown inner bark. Fast growing with good resistance to powdery mildew.
