Nyssa sylvatica 'NSMTF' PP30554 Red Splyndor® is commonly referred to as Red Splyndor® Black Gum. This American native, deciduous tree features a tight, pyramidal habit with emerging vibrant red foliage that turns dark green in summer and matures to a very showy fiery-orange-red in fall. It reached a height of 30-50 feet tall with a spread of 20-30 feet. It attracts beneficial pollinators and birds.
Red Splyndor® Black Gum thrives in full sun to partial shade in evenly moist, well drained soils. It prefers moist soil but can adapt quite well to a variety of soil conditions. It is ideal for areas close to streams and low-lying areas.
