SENTINEL CRABAPPLE
The Red Sentinel Crabapple is a narrow vase-shaped selection making it well suited for street lawns and confined spaces. It reaches 20 feet in height with a 12 foot spread. It features dark pink buds that open to fragrant, single white flowers in late spring. Disease resistant, dark green foliage follows and turns yellow in fall. Autumn brings showy cherry red fruit that persist into winter and are enjoyed by birds and wildlife. The berries can also be harvested to make jelly.
The Red Sentinel Crabapple enjoys full sun in rich, moist, well-drained soils. It is ideal for accent or specimen plantings.
