Zone: 5LEUCANTHEMUM MARSHMALLOW
Grower Notes:
Leucanthemum 'Marshmallow' is more commonly known as Marshmallow Shasta Daisy. It is a distinctive and highly floriferous Shasta Daisy known for its exceptionally full, fluffy, and textured blooms that resemble the sweet treat it's named after.
The large, 3-inch flowers are fully double, featuring layers of bright white, slightly recurving petals surrounding a small, lime-green to yellow center. This variety stands out for its unique, puffy appearance. It maintains a compact and tidy habit, reaching a medium size of 18–20 inches tall and wide.
'Marshmallow' is an excellent performer, blooming prolifically from early summer to late summer and requires full sun (or part sun in the hottest climates) and well-drained soil (crucial for winter survival). It is reliably hardy in USDA Zones 5–9.
'Marshmallow' Shasta Daisy is great for adding textural interest to garden beds, mass plantings, containers, and is a fantastic, long-lasting cut flower that also attracts bees and butterflies. Deadheading spent blooms will encourage a continuous display of flowers.
