JUNIPERUS VIR BRODIE
Grower Notes:

Juniperus virginiana 'Brodie' is commonly referred to as Brodie Juniper or Brodie Eastern Red Cedar. This native selection is a tall, strong, narrow, stately evergreen tree that features feathery-textured, dark green foliage which turns a burgundy color in winter. It grows approximately two feet per year and is deer and rabbit resistant. It has gray colored berries in fall that attract birds and other wildlife.

Brodie Eastern Red Cedar thrives in full sun in average, sandy, well-drained soils. It will not tolerate standing water. It can be drought tolerant once established. The Brodie is ideal as a specimen tree or grouped to form a hedge or natural screen.
