ANGELICA BLUE CHINESE JUNIPER

Juniperus chinensis 'Angelica Blue' is commonly referred to as Angelica Blue Pfitzer Juniper. It is a hybrid of Juniperus chinensis x Juniperus sabina grown for its showy foliage of glaucous, bright blue, fine-textured needles that intensify with cooler winter temperatures. It has a low growing habit with arching branches reaching 5-6 feet high and 6-10 feet wide.

Angelica Blue Juniper thrives in full sun with average, well-drained soils. This low maintenance variety is deer resistant and salt tolerant, making it tolerant of urban pollution and ideal for city environments.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
