Ilex x meserveae 'Madez' PP29,800 is commonly known as Mademoiselle™ Holly. This broadleaf evergreen shrub has a beautiful pyramidal habit even without trimming and provides an attractive touch of color in spring, with emerging chocolate red growth followed by glossy dark green leaves with the classic spiny outline. Bright red berries provide winter interest and food for the birds.
Mademoiselle™ Holly thrives in full to partial sun in nutrient-rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils. Perfect as a specimen and also in beds, edging or as a privacy screen.
