Puffer Fish® Hydrangea paniculata 'NCHP1' USPPAF is commonly referred to as Puffer Fish® Hydrangea. This Proven Winners® selection has large fluffy white blooms that can take over the entire plant! They are larger, more puffed up than Bobo® and open pure white. As the blooms age, they turn lime green and then a fresh sprig of white emerges from the tip of each panicle -- Very showy! The flowers are held on strong stems with a tight, compact habit.

Puffer Fish® Hydrangea thrives in dappled sun in rich, loamy, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It blooms on new wood so prune late winter or early spring. It benefits from an early spring, slow release fertilizer specialized for trees and shrubs. Ideal for mass and container plantings, as a focal point, as well as cut flower arrangements.
