DOUBLE DELIGHTS™ WEDDING GOWN® BIGLEAF HYDRANGEA

Hydrangea macrophylla 'Dancing Snow' PP21052 is commonly referred to Double Delights™ Wedding Gown Hydrangea. This elegant rebloomer features a compact habit with fully double, white flower heads that resemble perfect mini bridal bouquets with an outer ring of large, double flowers surrounding a center packed with smaller, double flowers. Sturdy stems and dark green foliage complement its blooms. White macrophylla hydrangeas do not change color with the soil pH like the blue and pink flowering varieties do.

Double Delights™ Wedding Gown Hydrangea blooms on both old and new wood and will benefit from some protection from winds or cold temperatures that may damage flower buds. It thrives in filtered sun in rich, organic, evenly moist, well-drained soils.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining, rich soil protected from the hot afternoon sun. For pink and blue Hydrangea macrophylla varieties, bloom color is pH-dependent; keep soil slightly acidic for blue tones or adjust toward neutral for pink. White varieties remain stable regardless of pH. Water consistently to maintain soil moisture, as this variety is sensitive to drying out. Mulch around the base to keep roots cool and moist.
