INVINCIBELLE® RUBY HYDRANGEA

Hydrangea arborescens 'NCHA3' PP28317 Proven Winners® Color Choice® Invincibelle® Ruby is commonly referred to as Invincibelle® Ruby Hydrangea. This Proven Winners® Color Choice® selection features a unique two-toned flower. Its large blooms are ruby red with silver-pink tones, giving it a nice contrast to its dark green foliage. This strong rebloomer flowers from sturdy strong stems from midsummer into fall and is excellent as a specimen, in borders, and of course, for cutting.

Invincibelle® Ruby thrives in full to partial sun in rich, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is hardy down to Zone 3 and blooms on current season's growth (new wood). It benefits from cutting the stems back about one-third its total height each spring, just before the new growth emerges. New shoots will emerge and bloom the same summer.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH, and ensure it receives partial shade to full sun. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering, which can lead to root rot. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer in the spring and summer months. Prune in the late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote new growth.
