GYMNOCLADUS DIO TRUE NORTH
Grower Notes:
Gymnocladus dioicus 'UMNSynergy' PPAF is commonly referred to as True North™ Kentucky Coffeetree. This majestic, deciduous tree is noteworthy for being the male, seedless selection from the University of Minnesota. It has a narrow and upright, vase-shaped habit with a strong branching structure. Its blue-green leaves in summer turn an attractive yellow in fall. The bark is rugged and scaly adding to its striking winter silhouette.
True North™ Kentucky Coffeetree is a tough, rugged tree that is quite adaptable. It thrives in full sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is tolerant of urban conditions and can thrive in city environments as long as it has room to grow.
