WHIRLING BUTTERFLIES WAND FLOWER


Gaura lindheimerii 'Whirling Butterflies' is best known as Whirling Butterflies Wand Flower. This pretty sun loving perennial features tall, airy flowers opening from pink buds that dance in the wind like butterflies. Flowers are snow white with four petals borne at the top of long, arching red stems. It flowers from early summer to fall. Foliage is green, lance shaped and compact.

Whirling Butterflies Wand Flower is deer and rabbit resistant and thrives in full sun in sandy, loamy, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It can be drought tolerant once established. Perfect for sunny borders or containers.
