Echinacea purpurea BUTTERFLY™ 'Rainbow Marcella' is commonly known as Rainbow Marcella Coneflower. It is part of the Butterfly™ series and noteworthy for its petite size (15-18 inches tall and wide) and warm orange sherbert color. Its petals age from warm orange to soft, raspberry pink. It will bloom from mid-summer to frost.
Coneflowers are an eye-catching and popular perennial for many reasons. They are easy to grow and are heat and drought tolerant. They flower all summer and attract all kinds of birds and pollinators. They typically thrive in full sun, but if your summers are hot, they could use a bit more shade and water to prevent burning.
