CELESTIAL® RUTGERS DOGWOOD

The Celestial Flowering Dogwood is a hybrid between Cornus florida x Cornus kousa from Rutgers University. It is noteworthy for its vigorous habit and profuse white bract flowers. Its oval to elliptic, dark green leaves turn vibrant shades of purple and red in fall. It is a sterile dogwood and does not produce fruit. It has good resistance to anthracnose and borers.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
