JUBILEE WEEPING ALASKAN CEDAR

The Chamaecyparis nootkatensis 'Jubilee' is commonly referred to as the Jubilee Weeping Alaskan Cedar or the Jubilee Nootka Cypress. This unique, very narrow conifer is extremely fast growing. It features an upright, spire-like main trunk and gracefully draping branches of lacy bright green foliage sprays that look like arms. Over time the main trunk is joined by secondary sub-leaders which form grove-like clusters of additional uprights.

The Jubilee Weeping Alaskan Cedar thrives in full to part sun in evenly moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soils.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Water it regularly, but avoid overwatering. Provide a slightly acidic soil pH, around 6.0. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune it annually to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
