CARYOPTERIS CLA LONGWOOD BLUE
Grower Notes:
Caryopteris clandonensis 'Longwood Blue' is commonly referred to as Longwood Blue Caryopteris or Longwood Blue Bluebeard. It is noteworthy for its taller, upright habit which can reach a height of 4 feet. It features profuse, fragrant, violet-blue flowers from late summer into fall that attract all the pollinators. Its soft aromatic gray-green foliage with a mounding, woody habit adds a nice contrast to its showy blue flowers.
Longwood Blue Caryopteris thrives in full sun in loose loamy, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It will not tolerate standing water. This is a great addition for late summer color for any sunny spot in the garden!
