CALLICARPA DICHOTOMA
Grower Notes:

The Callicarpa dichotoma is commonly referred to as the Purple Beautyberry or simply Beautyberry. It has slender, arching branches that dip downward. Small, pinkish-lavender flowers bloom along the stems in summer and are followed by clusters of shiny, lilac-violet fruits which ripen in September. It is a small, compact, deciduous shrub that only grows to about 4 feet tall and wide.

The Beautyberry is easy to grow and maintain. It enjoys full to part sun in average, well-drained soils. Best fruiting occurs in full sun. Pruning may be performed in late winter to early spring to encourage compact growth and fruiting.
