GIRARD RENEE MICHELLE EVERGREEN AZALEA

Azalea x 'Girard's Renee Michelle' is commonly referred to as Girard's Renee Michelle Azalea. It is part of the Girard collection of Azaleas that were developed for their incredible cold hardiness and improved performance. It is a semi-evergreen shrub which features glowing pink, ruffled flowers encased with glossy dark green foliage in mid to late spring. Foliage turns a handsome burgundy color in winter.

Girard's Renee Michelle Azalea thrives in full to partial sun in rich, acidic, humusy, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is ideal for foundation plantings, as a hedge or along the border.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in acidic soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
