Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Choose a site with deep, fertile soil and full sun to partial shade, ensuring there is adequate airflow. Dig a planting hole twice the width of the root ball and set the specimen so the root flare - the point where the trunk begins to taper outward - sits one to two inches above the surrounding grade. Backfill with native soil, water thoroughly to eliminate air pockets, and apply a 3-inch layer of organic mulch while keeping it clear of the root flare to maintain consistent soil moisture.
