Briotii Red Horse Chestnut is a medium-sized, deciduous, rounded tree that is noteworthy for its dark, rose red flowers and large 10-inch flower panicles. Its flowers appear in mid to late spring. All types of pollinators are attracted to this outstanding floral display.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Choose a site with deep, fertile soil and full sun to partial shade, ensuring there is adequate airflow. Dig a planting hole twice the width of the root ball and set the specimen so the root flare - the point where the trunk begins to taper outward - sits one to two inches above the surrounding grade. Backfill with native soil, water thoroughly to eliminate air pockets, and apply a 3-inch layer of organic mulch while keeping it clear of the root flare to maintain consistent soil moisture.
