JACK FROST® NORTH WIND JAPANESE MAPLE

The North Wind® Maple is a member of Iseli's Jack Frost® maple series which combines the hardiness and durability of a Korean Maple with the beauty of a Japanese Maple. Leaves emerge red in spring then change to light green in midsummer then dramatic tones of orange-scarlet in fall.

The North Wind® Maple is a fast grower, growing to an impressive 20' in height with a 15' spread. This is an excellent choice for a traditional Japanese Maple for colder climates. It thrives in full to part sun in evenly moist, well-drained, humus-enriched soils.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
