ACER PAL SHINDESHOJO
Grower Notes:

Acer palmatum 'Shindeshojo' is commonly referred to as Shindeshojo Japanese Maple or Shin-Deshojo Japanese Maple. It is a compact, slow-growing Japanese Maple that can grow 5-7 feet tall with an equal spread. It can eventually reach 10 feet tall in time. In spring, serrated leaves emerge bright salmon-red gradually fading to green speckled with white in summer. In fall, foliage turns a brilliant orange-red as new growth continues to emerge red which contrasts nicely with mature foliage. Fallen leaves expose its reddish-brown bark on young branches, adding to its winter interest.

Shindeshojo Japanese Maple is low maintenance and needs little pruning. It thrives in full sun to partial shade in organically rich, slightly acidic, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is ideal as a specimen plant in cottage, city or Japanese gardens.
