FAGUS SYL PENDULA
Grower Notes:

The Fagus Sylvatica 'Pendula' is commonly known as the Weeping European Beech. This large, deciduous tree is a wide, weeping cultivar that typically grows 35-50 feet tall and 20-40 feet wide. Branches normally grow up and then sweep downward to the ground in a graceful fashion. Foliage is dark green throughout summer and can form a very dense canopy with leaves and branch structure. This majestic cultivar will outgrow small spaces so will not tolerate city environments.

The Weeping European Beech thrives in full to part shade in deep, rich, moist, well-drained soils. It will not tolerate wet, poorly drained soils. The Weeping European Beech is one of the finest specimens for large-scale landscapes.
