GROWER NOTES: >
Euonymus fortunei 'Coloratus' is commonly referred to as a purple wintercreeper euonymus. It is a dense, woody-stemmed evergreen or semi-evergreen groundcover plant that features shiny, leathery, dark green leaves that turn an attractive reddish purple in fall. It primarily trails along the ground and typically grows to about 12-15 inches tall and will spread indefinitely by rooting stems. It may flower if allowed to climb a wall or tree as it assumes a more vine-like habit.
Purple Wintercreeper Euonymus is easy to grow and thrives in full sun to part shade in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It can tolerate urban pollution and can thrive in city environments.
